In ancient Ethiopia, Talisman were prescribed by Debtera Priests to bless a home, cure illness and protect during pregnancy. These individual Scrolls or Talisman were painted on animal skin to be either worn on the neck or hung in houses to bless its occupants.
This is a Neo-Impressionist version created by the Artist, of an ancient traditional healing Scroll of a Cherub used for blessing the home. Along with the central figure of the piece ,the eye designs are also Angels, a very old symbol of protection in the Eastern cultures.
